GraphQL-Based API
SAP Asset Performance Management has now introduced GraphQL-based APIs, which enable you to choose every piece of data the UI requires in a single query call. SAP Asset Performance Management has built SAP UI5-based applications that are powered by GraphQL APIs in the backend, making it the first product at SAP to release GraphQL APIs publicly.
GraphQL APIs are now available in the SAP API Hub to create, read, update, and delete the following:
- Strategy assessment for classes
- Risk and criticality assessments
- Recommendations
Example of a GraphQL API for the Risk and Criticality Assessment application
Users can use these APIs while creating their own UIs.
For more information see the blog GraphQL in SAP Asset Performance Management.
Health Monitor Alerts App – Alert Details
In the alert details page you can now see more details about the alert to better understand why it was created. You can review the indicator chart of the technical object to validate if notification creation is required.

Analytics Dashboard – New Standard Capabilities
The existing custom analytics capabilities have now been enhanced with standard analytics capabilities. SAP provides linked embedded SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) tenants for each APM user at no extra cost.
Embedded SAC has a slightly reduced functionality compared to the SAC Enterprise license, as it doesn’t include planning or machine learning capabilities. However, it provides all the necessary features for performing “Business Intelligence” tasks, such as charting, linking, filtering, drill-downs, and calculated measures.
APM also offers pre-built “calculation views” that can be accessed specifically by the embedded SAC. No other data can be accessed, and data enrichment is not available.
With the new feature, users can create dashboards directly within the APM application. The dashboarding process includes a “Query Designer” for assembling desired data and the usual SAC story editor.
Furthermore, APM displays the dashboards created within APM itself, alongside the previously established links to external dashboards.
To ensure user synchronization, a “Trust Configuration” feature is provided, allowing users in APM to be synchronized with users in SAC.

- Remove assigned failure mechanism, cause and effect from RCM assessment and strategy assessment for classes
- Assign existing recommendations within a Strategy Assessment for classes and RCM assessment
- Condition based recommendation enhancement for common indicators. For more information, see Adding an Indicator based on the Technical Objects Assigned to the Recommendation.
